Specialization Program in Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging at Universidad del Norte Colombia
At the moment the only homes of Radiology and diagnostic images that are operating in the Atlantic Coast are the University of Cartagena, whose program began 37 years ago and three students accepted each year, and the Universidad del Norte in Barranquilla, which began operations in March 2001 and accepted three students in each cohort. The majority of radiologists practicing in the Atlantic Coast have been trained in universities of the country and abroad.
The present population of the eight (8) departments of the North Coast reaches approximately 10 million people. This population is especially concentrated in the capitals of each department, but much of it is scattered in many populations that lack intermediate service radiology.
Therefore, taking into account that the application of diagnostic imaging exams has increased much since the one hand, the great value that is recognized in the medical diagnosis and, on the other, its usefulness in screening tests for some diseases, the elements that make it necessary to stay in our area of specialization in Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging at the University of North.
For the latest technological advances in the field of radiology and imaging, this is a very dynamic field, which is renewed constantly, showing a rapid development of procedures, which requires keeping the teaching of this specialty in a continuous evolution.

Four (4) years.

Specialist in Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging, students who have fully complied with the program and obtained an average not less than three five (3.50).
Directed A
Doctors with diploma issued by a duly adopted by the university ICFES or faculty of medicine of a university whose title is properly validated by the ICFES.
